About Us

Ami

AmiAmi is just adorable. Wherever she goes she puts everybody under her spell. She is loud and entertaining and everything she sees, does or eats is either the most amazing thing in her life or the worst nightmare - superlatives every day. I do love her enthusiasm. But believe it or not she can also be very different, a lot less dramatic - I suppose that's her arty side and most of you know what an amazing artist she is. She then becomes very tranquil and thoughtful and turns into a very good listener. All Ami cares about is the people that she loves and I consider myself very lucky to have found her, as together we are having the time of our lives...

Urs

UrsUrs - aka The SuperGerman. He is the most active but laidback person I have ever met. Everywhere we go I find him doing chin-ups or dangling from a tree. Relaxing walks along the beach turn into a wild ride on a longboard or some kind of adrenaline driven sport.
His ability to fix ANYTHING blows me away. He is incredibly patient, which is kind of essential when living with me. The thing I love about him is his passion for life and the way he makes the most out of every experience we have. He is my hero, my soul mate and most definitely my dream come true. For those of you who know me well, I think it's only too obvious...

How we met...

Ami was my teacher - a true story - when she worked at the Southbourne School of English, I was booked in for a Cambridge exams course and Ami did her best to get me through and even offered some free extra tuition outside of the school. It all worked out, I passed my test and Ami found her perfect match where she expected it the least.

The proposal...

In exchange to all of Ami's hard work and extra hours after school, I took Ami out to the beach for a little kitesurf lesson on her birthday. It was that night, sitting in the van and watching the waves, where the sparks flew. Two years later at the very same spot, sitting in the van and watching the waves, I pulled out the ring and asked for her hand. Luckily she said yes and we went to the very same little pizza place where I promised her two years earlier that I would come back to the UK, to start our new life together.
